The latest project from X+Living studio, Dujiangyan Zhongshuge, is located in the remote city of Dujiangyan, nestled at the base of mountains marking the end of China’s vast plains. The building stands out with its cathedral-like design: columns of books spiral upward to the ceilings, creating an atmosphere of grandeur and reverence for knowledge that captivates bookstore lovers. Housing around 80,000 books, it offers an impressive collection, though far from a world record.
